The blustery autumn months are upon us. Before you know it, those holidays are going to be blowing down the street, right toward us.
For NNEMAP Food Pantry customers, holiday gifts can be out of reach. That’s why we try to brighten up those days by offering toys and gifts to our youngest customers. Last year NNEMAP Food Pantry served 4,675 children aged 17 or younger. Nearly 1,000 of them received holiday gifts. That put a lot of smiles on little faces!
The Holiday Gift Shoppe is back for 2020–and we fear it may be needed more than ever. We can only offer this special service with your help. Can you donate a gift–or your gifts–to put a smile on a child’s face this holiday season?
Here’s how you can help:
*Donate new, unwrapped gifts: here are some great GIFT IDEAS
*Donate funds on our DONATION PAGE
*Donate your time by volunteering! Here’s how YOU CAN HELP!
*Print and share a copy of our informational flyer: PRINT A COPY NOW!
THANK YOU FOR HELPING MAKE THE HOLIDAYS A SPECIAL TIME FOR OUR YOUNGEST CUSTOMERS!!!

In response to the coronavirus/Covid-19 illness outbreak and guidance from government officials, NNEMAP Food Pantry posted some temporary changes to our service delivery yesterday. Please review those changes and continue reading below.
PLEASE NOTE that the following service hours are CANCELLED until further notice:
Due to the short notice, we will be open for service on Saturday, March 14; however, we will not be open again on Saturday until further notice.

We will continue to provide updates via website and Facebook as this situation changes.
Attention NNEMAP Food Pantry shoppers: As a precautionary measure to our valued customers, volunteers and employees relative to the Coronavirus, beginning MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2020, NNEMAP Food Pantry will begin distributing pre-filled orders of grocery items. Each order will include a variety of canned fruits, grains, proteins and a beverage. You will also receive abundant fresh fruits and vegetables. As available, you will receive eggs and meat products.
During this time, customers will be required to wait outside the pantry. Only volunteers and employees may enter the building. Please have your identification ready. You may be asked to complete a paper form for verification purposes.
In order to best protect the health of our community, we will distribute food in this manner until further notice.

The irascible Oscar Wilde once opined that, “All art is quite useless.” While we understand the importance of being earnest (see what I did there?), we respectfully disagree with Wilde on this point. In fact, we’re going in the complete opposite direction. In the bleak midwinter, you can put some color back into the world by joining us at Brush Crazy to “Paint for a Cause.”
The team at Brush Crazy has made it as easy as 1-2-3 (think of it as paint and donate by numbers!):
1. Visit Brush Crazy on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2020, show them this post or just tell them you’re painting for NNEMAP. Drop in anytime (and bring the family–it’s kid-friendly!).
2. Paint whatever item you choose (staff is there to help get you started and give you pointers along the way)
3. NNEMAP Food Pantry gets a generous portion of the proceeds as a cash donation.
You make art, NNEMAP Food Pantry gets money. THAT is useful art! Come join us on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2020 anytime between 11am and 6pm. Chase the winter blues (and Dorian Grays?) away and support NNEMAP Food Pantry. Win-win!!!
We welcome your support any time. We won’t even make you paint for it. You can always make a secure online donation here. Thank you for your support. Every donation makes a difference in someone’s life!
