Fall is more or less officially here. Sure, it’s mid-October and it was 85 degrees earlier this week, but a desert southwest fall is fall nonetheless. And with the coming of fall, the cavalcade of holidays is about to kick off. Halloween (if you have youngsters) followed by Harmony for Hunger, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, New Year’s, and on and on and on….
If you weren’t aware, Harmony for Hunger is an official NNEMAP holiday. Maybe not a fancy federal affair like Independence Day, but it’s a big deal for the pantry and its pals. Harmony for Hunger showcases the talent from several of our supporting network of churches and also features a silent auction for your amusement during intermission. This year’s headlining act is the fabulous (phabulous?!?) Philomet, the Capital University Vocal Chamber Ensemble.
The Big Show will be Friday, November 18, 2016 at Northwest United Methodist Church. Show time is 7:30, but you’ll want to arrive early to get your silent auction bids in and visit with other NNEMAP friends and supporters.
